We are Paul & Sue Stimers. In 2017, we made the leap from part-time summer campers to full-time RVing. On trailertrekking.com, we write about the RV lifestyle and everything RVing.
We are full-time RVers who live and work from our travel trailer. And we travel with Jordan, our pet Chihuahua.
Our life before our RV life
Before Rving, we owned a home in Dayton, Nevada. We also owned a motorcycle parts, accessories, and riding gear business. After 15 years, the business had lost its challenge. We felt like it had become a job that was holding us back from following our dream of seeing America firsthand.
It wasn’t a fast decision. We talked about it and research living in an RV for a year. In 2017, we decided it was time for us to take a leap of faith, and our journey into full-time RVing began.
Getting started RVing
Our first RV was a Holiday Rambler 35′ motor home. It was a beautiful RV with everything we wanted. But it wasn’t a fit for us. So after a year of living it, we sold it and bought a Grand Design 28′ pull-behind bunkhouse trailer.
The travel trailer is the perfect size for us, and we love it.
Getting started was exciting and a little scary all at the same time. But looking back, it was a good decision.
Living the RV life
For us, RVing is all about freedom, fun, and adventure. We’ve seen beautiful places and met some great people along the way. We’ve camped on the ocean and in the high desert. And we’ve camped in extreme weather from 115 degrees to 5 below in sunshine and snow. And we’ve learned a lot along the way that we share with our readers.
So if you haven’t started on this journey but are thinking about it, we encourage you to jump aboard. Within trailertrekking.com you’ll find helpful articles to get you started.
